Overview
The brief called for a spacious, picture-framed Merbau deck that ties indoor living to the backyard. Durability was key, so every sub-structure detail focuses on moisture defence and extended timber life.

Decking jacks combined with 90 × 45 mm H3 treated pine create a perfectly level base over uneven ground
Rot-Prevention Tape
Butyl joist tape applied to all bearers and joists to block water ingress and maximise lifespan
Pre-Oiled 140 mm Merbau Boards
Factory-finished boards reduce on-site labour and ensure even oil penetration
Picture-Frame Border
Mitred perimeter boards deliver a premium, furniture-like finish and hide end grain
Hidden Screw System
Stainless-steel self-tapping screws countersunk and plugged for a clean, barefoot-safe surface
